Oh là là… French retail gets serious about f-commerce with La Redoute [Screenshots]
8PPR, one of France’s largest retail and luxury groups (Gucci, YSL, Boucheron, Puma, Fnac…) has opened a full Facebook store in France for the new collection of its European catalogue and retail chain La Redoute.
Powered by Boosket software, the La Redoute f-store has an integrated PayPal checkout allowing people to complete transactions (nearly) without leaving Facebook (a new browser window (not lightbox) pops up to complete the PayPal transaction). Boosket’s other retail brand clients such as Naf Naf and Kiabi appear to be using storefront-only software linking to classic web-stores (video below).
The La Redoute f-store is opening with only 50 or so new product lines, but if successful, expect to see the store grow – and more importantly expect to see more f-stores spread across the PPR empire.
