Brilliant Social Commerce Ad Campaign at Harvey Nichols [Pics]

Jargon aside, social commerce can be summed up by the Latin proverb “A wise man learns by the experience of others; a fool, by his own” – it’s about helping shoppers shop with their social intelligence. If you haven’t already seen it, here’s a wondrous set of ads for the UK Department store Harvey Nichols,that we’ve been meaning to post for some time, showing just how embedded social commerce has become into our culture…

    The wisdow of the crowd – love it. The only place this strategy does not work is for those who want to stand out. They don’t want to buy what others already have – they want to be first, and be unique. We are working on a few social commerce sites that support this principal. I love your proverb though. One of my favorites crowd quotes is “The only certainty about following the crowd is that you will all get there together.” – by Mychal Wynn… I think I would modify his quote to say “The only certainty about following the crowd is that when you get there, it will be crowded!”
